“It has been a very motivating and productive time. My mental attitude towards exercising and towards my appearance changed within a week. The physical results began within the first couple of weeks and this motivated me further. The sessions were incredibly manageable and so if I did feel tired before a session I knew that they were only 20 minutes and that I would feel much better once I’d done them.Training with Tanya meant that I couldn’t make an excuse and not turn up – which again got me there!
Tanya was really motivating and encouraging and this in turn made me push myself. I found it really exciting to think that I was on the way to looking and feeling better and so I found the sessions really enjoyable even though I was working hard. Tanya was very friendly and personable which also made the sessions enjoyable as we chatted through the warm up and circuit!I feel so much more in control of everything because of taking control of my eating and exercising.
My goal was quite general – to lose some weight and feel better – so I achieved this. My confidence before was probably at 4-5/10 and I’d say now it’s at 8-9/10!”
“Beware, beneath the friendly exterior Tanya makes you work tremendously hard! She listens to what you want to get out of exercise and tailors the workouts accordingly. Personally speaking after years of neglect she has got my joints moving and improved my posture. As the adage goes the more effort you put in the more benefits you will get out.”
“Tanya is a great Personal Trainer. She has kept me motivated for 6 months with new ideas each week and helpful advice which is helping me to achieve my weight loss and fitness goals.”
“Since starting to train with Tanya I feel more motivated to go to the gym. Tanya is a warm, friendly woman so the hour I spend with her flies by. It’s money well spent.”
”I had been going to the gym for years, doing the same thing and not achieving my goals but training with Tanya has helped me to focus on what I want to achieve.”
Lessons are varied and interesting. After afew months of regular weekly sessions, I can feel the benefit in terms of more energy and a greater fitness level.”
“I contacted Tanya when I was 30 kilos overweight and had forgotten how to move with any grace. It could have been incredibly embarrassing, but Tanya actually made it fun. And over the following 8 months, I have achieved 22 kilos of weight loss, sleep better and enjoy life a load more. Thank you Tanya”
“In the past the gym has sometimes been my unintentional charity of choice, and I knew that, without a personal trainer, I was very likely to just pay for my membership, never go – and then wonder why I was paying the money but not getting any thinner or fitter!
When I asked about a PT, I was introduced to Tanya and I have never looked back. Neither of us is 21 anymore – thank goodness – but one of the things that initially impressed me was that she is very sensitive to how you are that day, and what you are capable of. She’s worked in the corporate world, and so I always felt she understood why I sometimes turned up exhausted and convinced I couldn’t do much. Tanya’s approach is very holistic, and you get a lot more than just a workout (though if that’s all you want, that would never be a problem). There’s no bellowing, which wouldn’t work for me. Instead, over time, I’ve found that issues I’ve had, like body confidence, health concerns, and commitment to the gym and its sometimes daunting culture, and getting motivated to do things on my own, are things we’ve chatted about while working out. One day I’ll just realise: 1) it’s just not an issue anymore and 2) I’m doing something I’ve either always wished I could do, or something I never thought I ever would.
She’s been supportive and encouraging no matter what; has saved me money on gym gear, encouraged me to see the doctor or physio when necessary, and even dragged me outside for a run when I was clearly clinging unhealthily to the treadmill.
Tanya came with me for my first ever 5k event, and I amazed myself by running all the way to finish in 35 minutes. It’s something I thought I would never do and not bad for a 40-something asthmatic who hates the gym!”
My osteopath recommended Pilates as part of a program to treat long term almost constant lower back pain but was insistent that it had to be under close scrutiny of a professional rather than attending a large class at the gym. I was fortunate to find Tanya running small classes near my office in the City and within even a month noticed a huge improvement – now, at 4 months, with back pain no longer being the first thing I experience every morning, I am a convert. My infrequent Osteo visits are now focussed on tracking progress rather than treatment and pain relief. A true professional – completely committed to the fitness and well-being of her clients – whom I could not recommend more highly.
